Fannézha began dancing at the age of three at Pierrette Sadler Danceurs Studio in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she was introduced to the competition dance world through ballet, tap, and jazz.
Eager to continue her dance journey, Fannézha attended an arts and science magnet middle school where she danced for the Modern Dance Company and Tapestry. Fannézha discovered the magic of improvisation and choreography in the Modern Dance Company while Tapestry took her to Broadway in New York City! Fannézha witnessed the awe of Broadway in Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Lion King, and 42nd Street! She, even, participated in a mock audition for the Radio City Rockettes! The wonder of the Big Apple solidified in her mind that a career in dance was what she wanted.
Fannézha studied Communication and Dance at Wake Forest University where she graduated Cum Laude in 2012. Upon graduating, Fannézha joined forces with Wake Forest Alumni David Curameng to become the Director for Events for KODACHROME NC, a non-profit organization dedicated to exposing the true colors of dance.
Meanwhile, life took Fannézha to Washington D.C. where she began teaching tap for the city of Greenbelt and at the Paula Brown Performing Arts Center. Fannézha, also, became a substitute dance instructor at District Dance Arts and Joy of Motion Dance Studio teaching ballet, tap, and hip-hop. Joy of Motion became a dance home for Fannézha as she danced with DC dance crews TeamWeGonMakeIt and Fierce Collabo Elite Crew.
Fannézha’s journey to Los Angeles was a quest to start anew in dance. She wanted to become a student of the craft again, focusing on training and learning different techniques of how to teach. Her desire to be a well-rounded artist led her to think of all of the resources that would be needed in order to truly be limitless.
Thus, the birth of DAILY DOSE DANCE!
